First Deputy Speaker Discusses Energy and Investment Cooperation with Russian Ambassador

The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, received Russian Ambassador to Iraq Elbrus Kutrashev on Monday evening, who extended congratulations to the legislative authority following the successful vote of confidence for the new government. The meeting also covered domestic political developments and recent regional and international issues.

During the meeting, Faihan stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Moscow, particularly in the fields of energy, investment, and the economy. He emphasized the need to expand cooperation in key sectors in a way that reflects the long-standing ties between the two countries and supports shared development goals and mutual interests.
