First Deputy Speaker Congratulates Younis Mahmoud on Iraqi Football Association Presidency

The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, congratulated Younis Mahmoud on his election as President of the Iraqi Football Association, also extending congratulations to the newly elected administrative board on the successful completion of the elections and the important sporting milestone they represent.

Faihan reaffirmed parliament’s full support for Iraq’s sports movement, particularly football, stressing the importance of developing sports infrastructure and advancing national teams and local clubs. He also called on the new federation leadership to intensify efforts to elevate Iraqi football and restore its standing on the regional and international stage.
