First Deputy Speaker Chairs First Meeting on Parliamentary Agenda and Government Program Evaluation

The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, chaired on Tuesday the first meeting of the Committee for Preparing the Parliamentary Agenda and Evaluating the Government Program, with the participation of MPs, advisers, and senior parliamentary officials.

The meeting focused on finalizing the main pillars of the parliamentary agenda ahead of its approval in the coming days.

Faihan described the committee’s formation as an unprecedented step aimed at improving parliamentary performance in legislation, oversight, and representation through clear plans, timelines, and evaluation mechanisms. He also stressed the importance of coordination between the parliamentary and government programs to strengthen oversight and better respond to citizens’ needs.
