Faihan Reaffirms Parliamentary Support for Investment Legislation, Discusses Energy and Oil Sector Challenges

The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, met on Wednesday evening with representatives of Iraqi and foreign private oil companies, in the presence of MP Yasser al-Saadi, to discuss key challenges facing the investment and energy sectors and ways to address them in coordination with relevant authorities.

Faihan affirmed that parliament is prioritizing legislation aimed at creating a supportive environment for investment during the current legislative term. He stressed the need to remove obstacles facing reputable national and international companies and simplify procedures to attract global expertise and investment, particularly in the oil and energy sectors as key pillars of Iraq’s economy.
