The fifth Iraqi parliamentary delegation is scheduled to visit Madrid in June 2026 under the supervision of the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi House of Representatives, Mr. Adnan Faihan.
The visit comes as part of a parliamentary development program aimed at strengthening Iraq’s legislative performance through engagement with international experiences. The delegation will visit the Spanish Senate, the Spanish Parliament, and a number of think tanks to learn from Spain’s experience in parliamentary work, institutional dialogue, and legislative coordination.
Mr. Faihan’s supervision reflects his continued commitment to developing parliamentary capacities and expanding Iraq’s legislative cooperation with European institutions.
The Madrid visit is expected to provide practical insights that can support more effective parliamentary work and contribute to the modernization of Iraq’s legislative institution.
