Faihan Discusses Telecommunications Development and Digital Transformation with Communications Minister

The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Adnan Faihan, met with Minister of Communications Mustafa Sand to discuss the state of Iraq’s telecommunications sector, digital infrastructure development, and efforts to improve services for citizens. The meeting also focused on supporting digital transformation projects and building unified national databases to streamline government procedures and strengthen e-governance.

Faihan reaffirmed parliament’s commitment to advancing the Ministry of Communications Law and stressed the importance of accelerating digital transformation and modernizing telecommunications as key pillars of administrative and economic reform. He also emphasized the need to fulfill commitments outlined in the government program and parliamentary recommendations.

For his part, the Minister of Communications highlighted the ministry’s efforts to expand digital infrastructure and electronic services, praising Faihan’s support for legislation that strengthens the telecommunications sector and helps overcome implementation challenges.
