Faihan: “Development Road” a Strategic Pillar to Boost Iraq’s Economic Position

The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, affirmed that the “Development Road” project represents a key pillar in transforming Iraq into an effective economic corridor linking East and West, enhancing opportunities for development and investment.

Faihan stressed the importance of activating the strategic partnership agreement and benefiting from Chinese expertise in implementing the project. He confirmed the readiness of the Council of Representatives to provide legislative support and to form a specialized parliamentary team to accelerate procedures in coordination with the government. He added that the project will contribute to maximizing national revenues and driving development across multiple sectors.
