Adnan Faihan: Parliamentary Committee Recommendations Now Binding on the Government, Parliament to Oversee Full Implementation of Ministerial Program

The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, affirmed that parliament is moving forward with overseeing the implementation of Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi’s government program following the approval of the report and recommendations submitted by the parliamentary committee tasked with reviewing the ministerial agenda, which have now become a binding part of the government program.

Faihan described the development as an unprecedented step toward strengthening integration between the legislative and executive authorities.

He added that the parliamentary committee succeeded in introducing key amendments and recommendations approved during the confidence session, stressing that parliament will continue its oversight role to ensure the full implementation of the government program and translate its provisions into practical policies that serve citizens and address the priorities of the coming stage.
